Life isn't easy. Sometimes it can be tough.
How you face life's challenges is the key to good mental health.
Imagine you've just applied for a new job. Not knowing how it will go can leave you feeling anxious or low.
Good mental health isn't about getting rid of uncomfortable feelings. It's about having the skills to handle them well.
Empower yourself with essential skills
Five weeks, about three days per skill.

Days 1–3
Set positive expectations
Expectations shape how you feel and what you do. Learn to build hopeful, realistic ones.

Days 4–6
Develop patience
Change takes time. Learn to keep going when results don't come straight away.

Days 7–9
Tolerate uncertainty
Learn to act well even when you can't know how things will turn out.

Days 10–12
Take action
Your mood doesn't have to decide what you do. Small actions can change how you feel.

Days 13–15
Think more clearly
Notice when you treat a new situation as if it's the same as an old one.

Days 16–18
Counter helplessness
Recognise what you can and can't influence, and put your effort where it counts.

Days 19–21
Make good decisions
Understand your decision style, and judge decisions by more than how they feel.

Days 22–24
Redefine your self-image
Look again at the rules you grew up with, and at your own values and strengths.

Days 25–27
Build strong relationships
Set healthy boundaries, and respect other people's.

Days 28–30
Improve sleep
Build the habits and mindset that support better rest.

Days 31–33
Be curious, less fearful
Stay open to learning, even when certainty feels safer.

Days 34–36
Think ahead
Use foresight to deal with problems before they grow.

Created by Dr. Michael Yapko
Dr. Yapko is an award-winning clinical psychologist known for advancing clinical hypnosis. He has written 16 books and taught clinicians in more than 30 countries. He created Claria with Mindset Health.
“People want to feel better in their lives but typically, they either don't know what to do to accomplish that or more often, how to do it. I routinely tell clients that it's not that there's something wrong with you, but instead it's how you're going about it.”
A five-minute introduction to Claria from Dr. Yapko.

Why hypnosis?
Hypnosis guides you into a relaxed, focused frame of mind, where helpful new ideas and perspectives are easier to take on.
You stay fully aware and choose which suggestions are useful to you. You don't need to be “good” at hypnosis, either: each day also includes reflection and practical exercises.

“I’m doing both the Claria and Nerva programs and recommend the bundle. Might as well throw myself at this project because it takes just a little time every day and I feel better.”
